I’m Alex
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in helping individuals and couples navigate relational challenges with greater depth, clarity, and connection. My work is grounded in the intersection of depth psychology and attachment theory—two perspectives that reveal both the unconscious patterns shaping our relationships and our fundamental need for secure connection. Trained in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), I integrate neurobiology, attachment science, and developmental psychology to support couples in cultivating intimacy, resilience, and mutual understanding.
My path to this work was shaped by a deep curiosity about the human experience. With a background in philosophy from UCLA and a decade in the entertainment industry, I was drawn to the ways storytelling reflects our inner worlds—our desires, conflicts, and the complexities of relationships. This fascination ultimately led me to the field of psychology, where I found a home in exploring the unconscious dynamics that shape our lives.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My clinical training took place at New Beginnings Counseling Center in Santa Barbara and within the Ojai Unified School District, where I worked with diverse populations across various stages of life. Through these experiences, I developed specialized expertise in treating adolescents and adults navigating complex mental health challenges, including complex PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, depression, and anxiety, as well as those struggling with gender identity, sexuality, grief, heartbreak, relational challenges, and major life transitions.
Becoming a wife and mother illuminated, with profound clarity, the transformative power of relationships. It reinforced my belief that healing is not only personal but deeply relational—that the quality of our connections shapes the quality of our lives. Guided by this understanding, I help individuals and couples repair ruptures, break free from limiting cycles, and build relationships that foster authenticity, trust, and lasting connection.
I have greatly benefited from psychotherapy at different phases of my life and believe that the most effective therapy occurs within the container of a deeply meaningful and authentic connection with another person. I welcome you to reach out to discover if I may be that person for you.
